Salvador
Duran, son of Sevastian and Ana Martin, a native of the villa Nueva de Santa
Cruz, government of New Mexico, named his occupation as a carpenter, his height
as 5'2" tall, age of 22 years, his religion as C. A. P. Roman (Roman
Catholic), brown hair, dark eyes, swarthy skin, large nose and black eyebrows. He
fills the position for an unlimited time in the royal presidio of the villa of
Santa Fe, the 20th of October 1732 in place of Joseph Romero and he
was read the penal laws that pertain to the Ordinance and not knowing how
to sign, he made the sign of the cross. Being advised that this justification
should not serve as any excuse, those being witnesses are Sergeants Antonio
Guerrero and Pablo Sandoval. Signed Juan

Margin: He was promoted on September 6, 1769 to a
Leather Jacket soldier. He was
authorized to retire on July 1, 1779.
